PURPOSE: An absent subscriber call history information providing system and a method are provided to allow a user to check a call received during his/her absence by using various communication terminals any time anywhere. CONSTITUTION: A user is connected to a call history information providing unit through the Internet and performs a membership procedure(ST1). The call history information providing unit stores phone number information and name/company information set by the user in a database(ST2). The call history information providing unit stores absent subscriber origination information provided from mobile communication network in the database(ST3). The call history information providing unit checks whether an absent subscriber call history information has been requested by a subscriber(ST4). The call history information providing unit reads absent subscriber call history information stored with respect to the mobile communication terminal number and transmits it to a communication terminal which has requested the absent subscriber call history information(ST5). The call history information providing unit checks whether the communication terminal requests to store/delete the currently provided absent subscriber call history information(ST6), and performs a corresponding process by updating the database(ST7).
