PURPOSE: A method for copy data on optical recording medium is provided to copy the same data at high speed and efficiently manage the serial number by assigning a different serial number to each optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION: The section information of the serial numbers assigned to the duplicated optical recording media is inputted(300). The serial number checked as non-duplication is read from the inputted serial number section one by one by searching a database(310). When the serial number is read at first, the serial number is recorded in a serial number file, the serial number file and a data file are generated as an image following an ISO(International Standard Organization) standard, and the image is transmitted to a duplicator(340). When the serial number is read from now on, the image is transmitted to the duplication by searching only the serial number from the stored image and replacing the searched serial number with a new serial number. In response to the image transmission, a duplication completion signal received from the duplicator is recorded in the data matched with the recorded serial number(350).
