PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus and a method for performing a photochemical reaction treatment capable of controlling unintentional photo-reaction due to excessive amount of light and reducing energy by controlling the intensity of light to a predetermined level. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus having a plurality of light sources(3) and performing a photochemical reaction treatment of an object by irradiating light to the object, the apparatus is characterized in that the intensity of light is controlled to be a predetermined level by controlling the number of the light sources to be switched-on or off or changing the proportion of the light sources to be switched-off or rotating the light sources to be switched-on or off.
