PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an approach warning support system for an emergency vehicle which promots smooth operation of the emergency vehicle, and prevents an accident for improving traffic safety so that a hearing-impaired person can take an action equally to an able-bodied person against approach of the emergency vehicle. SOLUTION: In this approach warning support system for the emergency vehicle, a transmitter continuously transmitting an identification code is installed in the emergency vehicle, while a receiver receiving a signal transmitted from the transmitter is installed in a general vehicle. If the receiver receives the signal, warning is given to a driver on the general vehicle by means of a vibrator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
