PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic tool set for overhauling and a joint overhauling method capable of overhauling a so-called push-on type joint connectable by merely pushing a plug into a socket with less labor than before in a short time. SOLUTION: This hydraulic tool set comprises (a) a hydraulic cylinder device having a hydraulic pump, a pair of hydraulic hoses connected to the hydraulic pump, a pair of hydraulic cylinders connected to the pair of hydraulic hoses, and piston rods installed in the pair of hydraulic cylinders so as to be moved forward into and backward from the hydraulic cylinders, (b) one or more backup rings fixed near the end edge part of a second pipe on the joint plug side opposed to the peripheral edge part of the joint socket of a first pipe, and (c) one or more attachment members inserted between the hydraulic cylinders and the peripheral edge of the first pipe on the joint socket side or a backup ring.
