PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of preventing a hoistway from being filled with smoke or reducing the smoke, and preventing the spread of a fire at an early stage. SOLUTION: In the elevator device provided with a fire and smoke prevention means preventing fire or smoke from being circulated between a hoistway and an elevator hall in a building consisting of a plurality of floors, and a driving device opening/closing the prevention means, the fire and smoke prevention means other than that on the evacuation floor where passengers in an elevator car are evacuated are closed at the time of a fire.
