<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noninvasive sphygmomanometer, for obtaining an accurate blood pressure value without causing complication of structure and without taking time and labor. <P>SOLUTION: This noninvasive sphygmomanometer is provided with a photo-interrupter 31 for measuring the discharge quantity of a booster pump 13, a waveform shaping circuit 75, a rotational frequency counting circuit 77, a discharge quantity computing circuit 78, and an arm perimeter detecting circuit 79 for calculating the arm perimeter of a subject according to the relationship between the pressure in a bladder 8 mounted on an arm band 9 and the measured discharge quantity of the booster pump 13.
