An ultrasonic impact processing machine for obtaining a surface layer having a nanocrystal structure and having various characteristics, or for obtaining such surface layer efficiently, and for obtaining high fatigue characteristics; and an ultrasonic impact processing device. The ultrasonic impact processing machine comprises a transducer for generating ultrasonic waves, a waveguide attached forwardly of the transducer for forwardly guiding the ultrasonic waves, and a head attached to the front end of the waveguide and provided with a pin adapted to be vibrated by ultrasonic waves, and with a holder for holding the pin. Preferably, a plurality of transducers are connected to the waveguide, or a means is provided for allowing the entire machine to rotate, move and swing. Preferably, the pin of the head has proper hardness, material and shape according to a subject to be processed. Further, the ultrasonic impact processing device is made by adding a metal powder supply means, a heating means and a shielding gas supply means to the ultrasonic impact processing machine.
