A coupling device (100) is disclosed for connecting two runners (300) of a railing system. The coupling device (100) comprises two connection elements (101, 102). Each connection element (101, 102) is connected to a runner (300) by an intermediate member (200). The connection elements (101, 102) are connected pivotally to each other such that the angle between the length directions of the two connection elements (101, 102) is adjustable.
