A method for realizing the reconstruction of optical network, at the network management side through the network management having circuit function, basing on the inputted physical information relating to the reconstruction of the optical network and self-stored data relating to the network, completing the traffic calculation needed by the reconstruction of the optical network, and obtaining the data at the network management side and at the network element side needed by the optical network reconstruction, then dividing the reconstruction procedure into several specific steps by the network management, finishing the modification of the data relating to the optical network reconstruction step by step, thus accomplishing the reconstruction of the optical network. The present invention can realize the reconstruction of optical network simply, conveniently and reliably with the precondition of without interrupting the traffic, predigesting the manual operation procedure of the optical network reconstruction, improving the efficiency and reliability of the reconstruction of the optical network, reducing the risk of failure in the reconstruction of the optical network.
