<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problem of deterioration of responsiveness of shape control caused by control delay time due to a mechanical interval between a shape control actuator and a means for detecting a shape on the exit side. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic control method for shape in width direction of a cold rolling machine comprises a tracking resister to track up to right under the shape actuator a plate form signal generated by a means for detecting a shape in width direction on the entrance side, and compares the plate form signal with a target shape at a timing right under the actuator or a timing to consider response of the shape actuator and carries out shape modification operation by calculation of a shape modification signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
