PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus and a developing unit capable of eliminating uneven image density in a paper width direction due to the deflection of a magnet roller 35, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the developing apparatus and the developing unit. SOLUTION: The developing apparatus is provided with the magnet roller having several magnets fixed around the center shaft, and a developing sleeve arranged coaxial to the magnet roller and rotated around the magnet roller. The developing apparatus used for an image forming apparatus for forming an image on a wide sheet is provided with a straightening means for straightening the deflection of the magnet roller. For example, the straightening means is constituted of a rubbing roller which is freely rotatably arranged on the magnet roller and which is brought into contact with the inside surface of the developing sleeve and rotated following the rotation of the developing sleeve.
