COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a method capable of controlling an amount of packets to be transmitted before occurrence of congestion in the transmitted packets.

SOLUTION: A receiver 120 generates new window size information on the basis of a packet arrival time required when a prescribed reference number of packets corresponding to a transmission window size arrive, attaches the information to accumulated ACK packets and returns the result to a transmitter 110. The transmitter 110 transmits packets with a transmission window size decided in response to the new window size information from the receiver 120.
