The display element includes a transparent cap (2), a lamp element (8) and a protective sleeve (10). The cap is at least partially surrounded by a reflector and or a threaded sleeve (24). The cap and the protective sleeve have a common overlapping connection region with a washer (12) and a washer part (14). A hollow space containing a sealing washer (26) is provided between the cap and the reflector and or the threaded sleeve. In one embodiment the washer and the washer part overlap one another by a predetermined amount.
