PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a blur-like pattern, capable of obtaining a sharp blur like pattern with good reproducibility. SOLUTION: This blur-like pattern is formed by coating a base material with a base coat and applying a second coat having a surface tension, of which the difference from the surface tension of the base coat is 0.5-10 dyn/cm, to the base coat layer on the base material before the base coat is cured. The base coat is obtained by adding 50-30 pts.wt. of at least one of an aromatic solvent and an aliphatic solvent to 100 pts.wt. of an aqueous emulsion coating (A). Further, the second coat is obtained by adding 5-30 pts.wt. of a 1-5C monohydric alcoholic solvent to 100 pts.wt. of an aqueous emulsion coating (B). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
