PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device and an electronic camera capable of making preset white balance adjustment that is simple and has high operability. SOLUTION: This electronic camera is provided with an imaging means for imaging a subject image by a photographic lens to generate an image, a selecting means for selecting at least one photographing condition among a plurality of photographing conditions about imaging in accordance with a user operation, an acquiring means for performing preliminary imaging by the imaging means on the photographing condition selected by the selecting means and acquiring the white balance data on the basis of the generated image, and a storing means for correlating the white balance data with the photographing condition selected by the selecting means and storing them.
