<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure luminous flux usable for light emission even when a movable shade is moved to any position, in a vehicular headlamp composed so as to change light distribution of the headlamp by moving the movable shade. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicular headlamp is so structured that the movable shade 22 can be moved, by a shade driving device 24, between a low beam forming position having a large shading amount to light incident on a reflector 20 from a light source 18a, and a high beam forming position having a small shading amount thereto. At that time, a part of the inside surface of the movable shade 22 is formed as an inside-surface reflection part 22a for reflecting the light from the light source 18a toward a predetermined reflection region 20aB of the reflector 20 even when the movable shade 22 is moved to either of the low beam forming position and the high beam forming position, so that the luminous flux usable for light emission can be increased in the respective positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
