PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device without a problem that a fire and smoke prevention means cannot be driven due to the shortage of power capacity of an emergency power supply device. SOLUTION: The elevator device has a fire and smoke prevention means preventing fire or smoke from being circulated between a hoistway and an elevator hall in a building consisting of a plurality of floors, a driving device opening/closing the prevention means, and an emergency power supply device serving as a power source of the driving device. When the power supply device is operated due to the occurrence of a fire, the fire and smoke prevention means of the fire occurrence floor is closed, and then the other prevention means are closed in order of distance closer to the occurrence floor.
