PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method capable of forming a double-layered coating film, which is excellent in aesthetic properties, adhesiveness, water resistance or the like, on a plastic molded product. SOLUTION: In this coating method, the plastic molded product is coated with an one-pack type base coating (A) which contains a polyester resin (a), an acrylic resin (b), which is obtained by copolymerizing a monomer mixture containing 30-80 wt.% of methyl methacrylate and has a glass transition temperature of 20-90°C, a weight average molecular weight of 5,000-50,000 and a hydroxyl number of 30-150 mgKOH/g, and a block polyisocyanate (c) at specific ratio. Subsequently, the layer comprising the one pack type base coating (A) is coated with a two-pack type clear coating (B) which contains an acrylic resin (d) which is obtained by copolymerizing a monomer mixture containing 15-50 wt.% of methyl methacrylate and has a weight average molecular weight of 3,000-20,000 and a hydroxyl number of 30-150 mgKOH/g, and a polyisocyanate (e).
