PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television community antenna system that can easily introduce a cable Internet system at a low cost. SOLUTION: In a community antenna facility for television, a downlink amplifier 2 amplifies a TV signal transmitted from a CATV line 1, a distributor distributes the TV signal and introduces the distributed signals to each floor of a multiple dwelling house, and supplies them to a TV terminal 4 provided at each home. In the case of attaching a function of the cable Internet to the facility, an uplink amplifier 21 with an intelligent function mounted thereon is provided in parallel with the downlink amplifier 2. The uplink amplifier 21 has a unique address and turns ON / OFF its amplification function according to a command from a center. When the amplification function is activated, the uplink amplifier 21 amplifies an uplink signal transmitted from a personal computer 11 via a cable MODEM 12 and provides an output of the amplified signal to the CATV line 1.
