摘要 |
Asymmetric composite particles comprise an inorganic (metal, metal oxide or metal chalcogenide) particle bound to a spherical vinyl polymer particle by physicochemical or covalent interactions. The inorganic and polymer particles have a size of 5 nm to 1 microns. An Independent claim is also included for production of the composite particles by modifying the surface of the inorganic particles with a coupling agent comprising a function with affinity for the polymer and contacting the inorganic particles with one or more polymer precursors in the presence of a radical initiator and a surfactant in a solvent in proportions corresponding to a 1:1 ratio between the number or inorganic particles and the number of polymer particles. |
