Solar energy panels (5-8) used on satellite system are arranged as a series of folded units that can unfold to provide a continuous projection. The panels are coupled together by tensioned wire loops (26) that pass around pairs of rollers (16,19,18,20). The wire is produced of a material with a neutral thermal expansion coefficient. |
