The treatment unit consists of a housing (1) of two assembled hemispheres (14, 15) with an inlet and outlet (2, 6) and held together by a hoop (12). It has at least one inner compartment (8) containing pozzolana (5) with a grain size of 4 - 7 mm, at least one other (10) with active carbon impregnated with silver (9), and a mushroom-shaped water/gas separating dome (4) with an automatic purger (3) above it. The hoop ensures a seal by means of autoclave joints (16) mounted on a ring (17). The treatment unit installation includes a filter, pressure gauge and pressure reducer upstream of it, isolated from the water distribution circuit by isolation valves, and protected by a safety valve. In addition, the water entering the unit can be pre-filtered.
