A device comprises a base portion (12) with a pair of flexible spaced arms (14) extending there from, preferably the arms converge at their open ends and the device is made from recycled natural rubber with cavities in the base (16) to save on materials. Spacers (20) may be located between the arms and on top of the base portion to provide additional height. The spacers may have a projection (22) at one end and a recess (24) at the other. In use, the joist (30) is located between the arms of the device and the base of the device located on a sub-floor, the spacers being used to pack any gap remaining between the base and the sub-floor and support the joist in a level position. |
