The calibration device (10) for the diameter measuring instrument has two reference tips (21, 22) which are in contact with each other and these tips are moved apart over a distance measured by adapter pieces and corresponding to the thread diameter. The instrument is then calibrated in the device before the thread diameter is checked. The measuring instrument has two measuring tips. An Independent claim is also included for the calibration device, comprising a line (11) supporting two holders (15, 16) for replaceable reference tips, at least one holder being movable along the line and both holders being lockable into position on the line. |
