ACCUMULATOR OF HEAT PUMP SYSTEM WITH PLURAL COMPRESSORS

PURPOSE: An accumulator of a heat pump system with plural compressors is provided to prevent breakage of a heater by restricting inflow of liquid refrigerant into the compressor in discharging high pressure refrigerant from the accumulator, and to improve heat exchange efficiency by delaying frost of the heat exchanger with increasing temperature of refrigerant into the outdoor heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: A heat pump system comprises plural compressors compressing refrigerant; a four-way valve installed in the discharge refrigerant pipe of the compressor to switch flow of refrigerant according to the operation mode; indoor and outdoor heat exchangers connected to the four-way valve to exchange heat of refrigerant with air; an expansion unit installed between the heat exchangers to expand refrigerant; and an accumulator(50) installed in the refrigerant inlet pipe of the compressor. A shutoff plate(53) is installed in the lower part of the accumulator to divide the lower space of the accumulator and to prevent liquid refrigerant from flowing into the compressor.
