PURPOSE: A speedy Chinese character inputting method and system is provided to morphologically analyze the Chinese characters, to code radicals comprising the Chinese characters, and to enable a user to instantly input a Chinese character by inputting a radical code. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a radical code IO manager(141), a radical code dictionary(143), a dictionary manager(142), and a Chinese character selector(144). If a user inputs a radical code, the radical code IO manager(141) transfers the input radical code to the dictionary manager(142), then the dictionary manager(142) searches for Chinese characters in the radical code dictionary corresponding to the input radical code, and outputs the searched Chinese characters to the radical code IO manager(141). The radical code IO manager(141) loads the searched Chinese characters at a memory, and displays them on a display. If the searched Chinese characters are plural, the user selects a corresponding character by using a selection key, and then the Chinese character selector(144) extracts the selected character among the searched characters loaded at the memory, and displays the selected character.
