PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the device and method for heating device a steel strip in continuous annealing furnace by which the uniform heating and the efficient heating of the steel strip can be executed regardlessly of changing-over of direct heating regenerative combustion burner and also, the layout of a heat reservoir, and combustion air and exhaust gas pipings is simplified. SOLUTION: In the heating device 10 of the steel strip continuos annealing furnace which sets plural direct heating regenerative combustion burner sets 11 providing two combustion burners A, B alternately repeating the combustion and the extinction in each set in both side walls of the furnace body 13 with a prescribed interval, the direct heating regenerative combustion burner sets 11 are chanced to the fitted positions at the upper and the lower steps on both side walls and arranged as zigzag state along the advancing direction of the steel strip 12. |
