An insecticidal composition comprises a) between 0.001 and 5% of a compound of formula (I); b) between 0.05 and 10% of one moisture retaining agent and c) between 40 and 99% of vegetable meal. In formula (I): R1 is halogen, CN, methyl or CH3CO; R2 is S(O)nR3; R3 is alkyl or haloalkyl; R4 is H, halogen, NR5R6; S(O)mR7, C(O)R7, C(O)OR7, alkyl, haloalkyl, OR8 or N=C(R9)(R10). X is trivalent nitrogen or C-R12 and the other three valences of the carbon atoms forming part of the aromatic ring; R11 and R12 are independently H or halogen; R13 is halogen, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, S(O)qCF3; n, m and q are independently 0 to 2; R5 to R10 are as defined in the specification provided that when R1 is methyl then R3 is haloalkyl, R4 is NH2, R11 is Cl, R13 is CF3 and X is N.
