PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device, etc. capable of providing a user with more detailed information while suppressing data quantity of an EPG (electronic program guide). SOLUTION: A TV receiver 5 acquires information codes for acquiring video data, sound data, electronic program guide data and information related to programs from a broadcasting station 3, transmits an information code selected by the user to an information provision server 9 and acquires information according to the transmitted information code from the information provision server 9. Thus, the TV receiver 5 can provide various kinds of information according to desires of the user while suppressing the data quantity except the video data and sound data to be received from the broadcasting station 3.
