PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crane capable of lifting safely even an object having a large load and making a boom impossible to fall down ahead, in particular while it lies outside the safe region. SOLUTION: The crane is composed of a body 10 and a placing table 20 formed in a gate shape from vertical frame parts 21 and a crosspiece 22 to couple together their tops, wherein the crosspiece 22 is installed on the table 20 in such a way that the elevating and sinking position can be changed. The crosspiece 22 is furnished with a placing frame 30 having a plate 32 borne by a horizontal shaft 31 parallel with the crosspiece 22 and inclined to an angle to suit the inclining angle when the tip of the boom 11 of the crane body is placed.
