AROMATIC POLYCARBONATE RESIN COMPOSITION AND MIRROR PRODUCED BY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic polycarbonate resin composition having improved hydrolysis resistance under high-temperature and high-humidity condition and essentially free from the generation of warpage in moisturizing a molded article of the composition while keeping various advantages of aromatic polycarbonate nano-composite material containing conventional silicate and provide a mirror produced by using the composition. SOLUTION: The aromatic polycarbonate resin composition having the above characteristics contains (A) an aromatic polycarbonate having a water-absorption of≤0.20% or a glass transition temperature (Tg) of≥150°C and (B) a lamellar silicate having a cation exchange capacity of 50-200 m-eq/100 g in an amount of 0.1-50 pts. wt. (based on 100 pts. wt. of the aromatic polycarbonate A), and preferably further contains (C) 0.1-50 pts. wt. (based on 100 pts. wt. of the resin component A) of an organic compound having affinity to the aromatic polycarbonate and containing a hydrophilic component. The mirror having excellent reflecting property can be produced by forming a reflection layer on at least one surface of a molded article produced from the resin composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
