PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper guide capable of simplifying paper setting operation into a printer and easily cleaning in the printer by making a paper guide attachable/detachable with a lock mechanism. SOLUTION: A slot is formed in a guide plate in the printer. An insertion guide for the paper guide is inserted in the slot, and it can be adjusted to a plurality of paper widths only by sliding in a width direction of the paper. The paper guide is attachable/detachable with the lock mechanism. Thus, a regulation member, a holding part and the like are not necessary in a paper carrying path in the printer, paper setting operation is simplified, a space in which a fingertip reaches the depth of the printer is secured for easy cleaning.
