PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a water storage tank to be freely installed depending on an installation space, without undergoing restrictions on the selection of an installation place; to enable an arbitrary change in the capacity of the tank in accordance with different water consumptions; to facilitate the transportation of the tank to the installation place; and to enable the tank to be easily and rapidly assembled by a single person on an installation site. SOLUTION: This built-up water storage tank is equipped with: a rectangular plate-shaped side panel 20; a corner support 23 with a coupling recess 23a into which mutual side edges of the orthogonally adjacent side panels are to be fitted; a side support with a connecting recess into which the mutual side edges of the side panels adjacent to each other in a single line from left to right are to be fitted; a rectangular bottom plate 21 with a coupling part 31a whereon the side panel is to be placed and with which a lower edge of the side panel is to be engaged; and a shallow rectangular box cap-shaped lid body 22 which covers an upper edge of the side panel by being engaged with it. The side panel, the corner support, the side support, the bottom plate, and the lid body are provided as assembling unit materials, the sizes and shapes of which are made common, respectively. These assembling unit materials are assembled into a tank body which is wholly formed in a desired three-dimensional shape or a desired number of tank bodies which are formed by using a rectangular parallelepiped as a unit.
