PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge transfer compound having a hydrazone group, an organic photoreceptor containing the charge transfer compound, an apparatus for forming an electrophotographic picture containing the organic photoreceptor and a method for forming the electrophotographic picture using the apparatus. SOLUTION: The organic photoreceptor contains a photoconductive layer comprising a novel charge transfer compound having the chemical formula (1) and a charge generation compound and one or more photoconductive layers are located on the conductive substrate. In the chemical formula (1), R1is carbazole group, julolidine group or p-(N,N-disubstituted) allyl amine, R2, R3, R4, R5and R6are independently alkyl group or allyl group, R7and R8are independently H, alkyl group or allyl group, X is O, S or NR' group, R' is H, alkyl or allyl group and Y is allyl group.
