APPARATUS FOR EXCHANGING LIP RING OF STEELMAKING CONVERTER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for exchanging lip ring of steelmaking converter is provided which is capable of increasing steelmaking output by shortening repairing period of converter of steelmaking plant in an iron mill to the maximum, thereby lengthening operation time of the converter. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(1) comprises an inner scaffold(2) positioned inside the converter so that worker works in the converter; a ring shaped outer scaffold(6) the inner circumferential surface of which is closely adhered to the outer circumference of the converter so that the worker works at the outer side of the converter; an outer frame(7) installed along the outer circumference of the outer scaffold to prevent falling of the worker when the workers works on the outer scaffold; a plurality of stationary members(3) radially arranged between the inner scaffold and the outer scaffold so that the inner scaffold is connected to the outer scaffold and formed in such a shape that the stationary members receive the mouth of the converter so that the stationary members are stationed at the mouth of the converter; and a crane member(10) rotationally installed at the center of the inner scaffold suspended to an arm(9) connected to perpendicularly to rotation pole(8) so that the crane member transports tools and appliances for assembling and disassembling the lip ring, wherein the apparatus further comprises a plurality of subsidiary scaffolds(4) installed on the outer circumferential surface of the inner scaffold in such a way that the subsidiary scaffolds are folded and unfolded through a plurality of hinges(5) so that the plurality of subsidiary scaffolds are positioned in a space between the inner scaffold and the inner circumferential surface of the converter.
