PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire with the rhombic section is provided to improve performance of the tire in braking or cornering, and the durability by distributing pressure evenly in the contact patch with restricting concentration of stress. CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic tire has the aspect ratio of 35 - 55 and the section width over 200 to form the profile of a tread(1) with two arcs. An upper part(SH-U) is formed with a first point(P1), a second point(P2) accurately dividing the section height into two parts, and a line(SL1) connecting the end of a section width(SW) to the point bisecting the section height. The first point is formed at the position of 102 to 105 % of the tread width along the horizontal line when the profile of a sidewall(2) passes the center of the tread before applying pneumatic pressure. A lower part(SH-L) is formed symmetrically to the upper part, and a line(SL2) is formed symmetrically to the line. An arc(P-ARC) is formed radially at the position of 60 - 65% from the lower part of the total section height.
