<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for an automobile which achieves light weight, prevents occurrence of corrosion and rust beforehand, and easily realizes recycling of a molding material, and also to provide a manufacturing method which achieves easy manufacture of such a weather strip. <P>SOLUTION: The weather strip for the automobile is provided with: a grip part 2 which has a semi-U shape cross-section, is mounted at the flange part, and also has its core material 4 embedded in a supporting member 3; and a seal part 5 having a sealing function. The supporting member 3 is formed from olefin system rubber or thermoplastic elastomer, and the core material 4 is formed from thermoplastic elastomer of an olefin system or a material containing a filler such as talc, glass fiber or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
