PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system wherein a portable telephone set receiving a signal from a portable telephone set use limit signal generator provided at an exit/entrance of an area can surely maintain a desired control state at the inside and the outside of the area. SOLUTION: First and second Bluetooth (R) fixed stations 30a, 30b are respectively installed at an outdoor side and an indoor side (in a building) in an exit/entrance pathway of a place (e.g., a hospital or the like) wherein the use of the portable telephone set is inhibited in the building. The first Bluetooth (R) fixed station 30a has a function of transmitting a power-on signal to switch the portable telephone set into an ordinary reception waiting state by means of a very weak radio wave covering only the vicinity of the outdoor side of the exit/entrance pathway. The second Bluetooth (R) fixed station 30b, on the other hand, has a function of transmitting a sleep signal to switch the portable telephone set into a sleep state by means of a very weak radio wave covering only the vicinity of the indoor side (in the building) of the exit / entrance pathway.
