<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a photographic quality hard copying can be carried out in the size which is equivalent to or smaller than the conventionally used color image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, a first fixing device 15 fixing a toner image to a recording medium on which the toner image is transferred. A second fixing device 31 to fix again the toner image fixed to the recording medium by the first fixing device 15. A switching part 16 is provided to switch to either a first path 25 in which the recording medium after passing through the first fixing device 15 is immediately ejected without passing through a second fixing device 31, or a second path 26 in which the recording medium is ejected after passing through the second fixing device 31 after being passed through the first fixing device 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
