<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical fiber group that does not substantially generate a connection loss component due to the difference in a mode field diameter (MFD) during fusion-splicing connection, and to provide an optical cable group and an optical fiber transmission line. <P>SOLUTION: When the optical cable group of a plurality of optical cables A, B, C, D, etc., for constituting a series of optical fiber transmission lines (a), (b), (c), etc., is manufactured by connecting a plurality of optical fibers having different origins by fusion splicing, many optical fibers gathered to be put in an optical cable are divided into a plurality of small groups having≤4% differences in MFD and the series of optical fibers 3a to 3f of the optical cable which are connected to each other and located at the same position are all selected from the same small group and stored. Further, optical fibers which are divided into a plurality of small groups having≤2% differences in MFD and connected to each other in a specified connection order are selected from the same small group or adjacent small groups and stored. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
