PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus, a recording method and a program for generating display data for graphically displaying a recording status including a recordable time corresponding to the remaining recording capacity resulting from subtracting recorded capacitance where contents has been already recorded and reserved recording capacity required for recording reserved contents from all recording capacitance at least. SOLUTION: All recording time corresponding to all recording capacitance of a recording part is represented as an entire circle, and recording status is graphically displayed which includes: a recorded region G1A representing the recorded time corresponding to the recorded capacitance; an overwrite recording region G1B representing an overwrite type daily/weekly reserved recording time corresponding to overwrite type daily/weekly reserved recording; a reserved secure region G1C representing recording time corresponding to the reserved recording capacity except for the overwrite type daily/weekly reserved recording capacity; and an empty region G1D representing the recordable time corresponding to the remaining recording capacity resulting from subtracting the recorded capacitance and the reserved recording capacity from all the recording capacity.
