PNEUMATIC TIRE MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire manufacturing method capable of suppressing the occurrence of the separation trouble of a steel cord layer embedded in a tread part to enhance the durability of a pneumatic tire. SOLUTION: A molding drum 10 is constituted so that the outer periphery length thereof becomes a maximum value at the central part in the axial direction of the drum and gradually reduced from the central part toward the outside in the axial direction of the drum. This molding drum 10 is used to wind at least one carcass layer 4 around the outer periphery of the molding drum 10, both end parts in the width direction of the carcass layer 4 are respectively folded back around a bead core 5, at least one steel cord layer 6 is wound around the tread region on the outer periphery of the carcass layer 4 to mold a green tire 11 including the carcass layer 4 and the steel cord layer 6, and the green tire 11 is vulcanized in a mold.
