PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force distribution control device for a four-wheel drive vehicle capable of performing fail detection when an induction load circuit is short-circuited.
SOLUTION: This driving force distribution control device 31 comprises a microcomputer 32 controlling an electromagnetic solenoid 22 for regulating the ratio of a driving force transmitted from an engine to a plurality of wheels through a driving force transmission system. The microcomputer 32 counts a time required for a counter electromotive current produced in the electromagnetic solenoid 22 to disappear after the vehicle is stopped. The microcomputer 32 controllably outputs a test current to the electromagnetic solenoid 22 after the time is counted. The microcomputer 32 counts, while outputting the test current, the number of times of detected currents detected by a current detection circuit 36 installed in the electromagnetic solenoid 22 exceeding a threshold I. Then, the microcomputer 32 determines a short circuit trouble with the electromagnetic solenoid 22 when the number of times of the detected current exceeding the threshold I is equal to or more than that of the threshold C.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
