PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate misjudgment due to actual gas leakage and the usage of another gas appliance or the fluctuation in a gas pressure, and to dispense with the modification of a program of a microcomputer, when correcting instrumental errors, in the sensing of the gas leakage by the microcomputer. SOLUTION: In the diaphram type microcomputer gas sensor, the rotation of a conversion gear A-1 is transmitted to an idle gear A-5. The rotation of the idle gear A-5 is transmitted to a small high gear A-6, and is transmitted to a magnet gear A-8, having a diameter smaller than that of a high gear A-7, via the high gear A-7 that is integrally formed with the small high gear A-6. By driving a flow rate transmission magnet 19, a flow rate pulse is generated to enhance resolution. Accordingly, misjudgment between gas leakage and usage of the gas appliance is eliminated, in which the pulses are not generated due to the fluctuation in the gas pressure. Further, there is no need to modify the microcomputer program each time, even if the conversion gear is replaced at correction of the instrumental error. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
