PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam turbine diaphragm that is adapted to suppress an end effect. SOLUTION: Fig.1 is a front view and a side view illustrating a steam turbine diaphragms. The steam turbine diaphragms are combined with a simple fit between an outer ring 1 and a stationary blade 2, and between the stationary blade 2 and an inner ring 3. A plurality of stationary blades 2s are aligned in circumferential direction in the vicinity of a mating face 4 between inner ring pieces 3a, 3b one another. A bolt 5 is adopted as a means for joining the stationary blades 2s, and an example is shown for penetrating and joining the stationary blades 2s. The area where the bolt 5 is made to penetrate is at a root of the inner ring side, and how many pieces of the stationary blades 2s are made to penetrate is determined according to load changes caused by the end effect. When an appropriate number of pieces of the stationary blades 2s are joined by the bolt 5 at the root of the inner ring side, the plurality of stationary blades 2s aligned near a mating face 4 come to be able to withstand jointly the loads transmitted to the stationary blades 2s.
