The equipment includes two brackets (1, 2) clamped together carrying three roller carriers (23, 24, 25), each with a roller which form three points of support around a pipe (4). A separate peeling tool (14) has a peeling knife (17). Forward movement of the equipment along the pipe during a rotational movement around the pipe is produced by the end faces of each roller forming an angle not less than 0 degrees with the end face of the clamp brackets (1, 2). Rollers are formed by ball bearings. The peeling tool(14) comprises a knife holder (15) with knife guide (20) and a moving support (21) for the knife (17). A bore in the knife holder guides the knife guide against spring force and a safety disc limits peeling depth. The clamp brackets can be used for different pipe diameters by varying the distance of peeling knife to a pipe surface using the knife guide or rollers (23, 24, 25). Toggle levers (7) connect the two brackets. One end of one lever is connected to a bracket and the other end forms an operating handle (8). A second toggle lever is connected by a joint to the first lever and at the other end is hooked onto a bolt (10) on the second bracket (2). Two handles (31, 32) on the brackets allow manual rotation of the equipment around a pipe.
