PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical type suspension rubber bush demonstrating an excellent durability even against repeatedly applied prying force, high spring characteristic to an axial right angled force in a direction perpendicular to the direction of prying power force, and excellent lifetime in the same direction. SOLUTION: The vertical type suspension rubber bush 10 comprises an outer cylinder fitting 12, an inner cylinder fitting 14, and a rubber elastic body 16. The shape of the vertical cross section in a direction of prying force input of the rubber elastic body 16 is in such a shape that rubber legs 18, 20 are fixed to a middle part in the axial direction of the inner cylinder fitting 14 to form a recessed space 22 between the rubber legs 18, 20 and the inner cylinder fitting 14. The shape of the vertical cross section in the approximately perpendicular direction is in such a shape that a body rubber part thicker than the rubber legs 18, 20 connects the inner cylinder fitting 14 and the outer cylinder fitting 12 and the body rubber part is tapered in the axial direction from the outer cylinder fitting 12 side toward the inner cylinder fitting 14 side.
