PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge separation apparatus which efficiently sediments sludge in a turbid liquid to separate it and prevents the sludge from flowing out, a sludge recovery apparatus, and a sludge separation method. SOLUTION: The sludge separation apparatus 1 separates the sludge S from the turbid liquid T in which the sludge S is mixed in water to purify the turbid liquid T. A sludge separation tank 4 has a discharge opening 4b in the bottom part 4a and an inclined surface 4c inclined from the periphery of the discharge opening 4b toward the discharge opening 4b. A separation cylinder 5 has an opening 5a above the bottom part 4a of the sludge separation tank 4 and is erected through a holding part 6 to be separated at a prescribed distance L1 from the inner wall 4d of the tank 4. A supply pipe 7 supplies the turbid liquid T between the inner wall 4d of the sludge separation tank 4 and the outer wall 5b of the separation cylinder 5. In a pure water pipe 8, a drain port 8a for discharging water outside the sludge separation tank 4 is formed in the vicinity of the upper end of the separation cylinder 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
