PURPOSE: A substrate combining apparatus for manufacturing a liquid crystal display is provided to process substrates having various thicknesses. CONSTITUTION: A substrate combining apparatus includes a base frame(100), upper and lower chamber units(210,220), upper and lower stages(230,240), a gap controller, a sealing member(250), and an upper chamber moving unit. The upper chamber unit includes an upper base(211) and an upper chamber plate(212). The lower chamber unit includes a lower base(221) and a lower chamber plate(222). The gap controller includes a moving axis(411) protruded downward to come into contact with the lower chamber unit, and a moving part(410) one end of which is fixed to the upper chamber unit. The moving part moves the moving axis downward. The moving axis maintains a specific gap between the upper and lower chamber units. |
